Choosing to give your furniture a face lift is a wise one. Too often we just throw things away. Usually if you have a decent piece of furniture, it warrants a re-do. The cost to upholster or slipcover is usually less than half the cost of buying new quality furniture. Molly can help with fabric selection, colors ideas, and whether or not cushions need to be replaced. You are going to love the new look.
This is a tricky one. It all depends on the condition of the furniture, the type of fabric you choose, how long it takes to take it apart. If there is a pattern to match, if the fabric is difficult to work with, if the springs are shot, if we have to re-do and re-cut all the foam cushions, this all takes time. Time is money, that's a fact. I would say an upholstered wing chair, for instance, could range anywhere form $800 to $1200 based on all the varying factors. The newly covered chair should last another ten years, at least. Thats a cost of about $80 to $120 per year. Worth every penny.
We work on a first come, first service basis. When you purchase your fabric, you've made the financial commitment and your name goes on the list. When it is your turn, we will give you a call to arrange for your piece to arrive at the shop. You will be given an estimated time for completion. However, there are many factors that affect our estimates. We will communicate with you as your piece moves up in the queue. Your fabric purchase is your deposit and thus there are NO REFUNDS.
Good article, though our fabrics run from $20 to $38 per yard. Let us bring new life to your furniture.
